About Horton & Storey
Horton & Storey are independent estate agents based in Shirley, Birmingham. Where most agents are focused on getting a sale agreed, they concentrate on the completion, relieving the stress caused. They pride themselves on a transparent and personable approach to the profession and, being RICS regulated, they can offer a professionalism and service other agents are unable to.
The brief
As a new business, Horton & Storey needed a complete brand identity that would both complement their approach and help to differentiate them from the competition. Carousel conducted research of other local agents to ensure that the identity would stand out, from sales boards to office signage.
Horton & Storey required brand guidelines and a full suite of marketing collateral to get them started. A website design and build was needed – an essential marketing tool for advertising their services and properties.
A modern look
As a new addition to Shirley and its high street, it was essential that the Horton & Storey logo and brand identity were recognisable at a glance. Carousel developed a clean and modern look that complements Horton & Storey’s values and approach. The ‘H’ and ‘t’ of the logotype use negative space to represent a gable. This graphic device is used across the marketing materials and gives a distinctive look to sales boards.
Bespoke website design and build
To set themselves apart from the competition, Horton & Storey opted for a bespoke website build over a template theme. Our knowledge of creating user experience for property websites meant that we designed and built functionality that concentrated on clarity of information and ease of search and enquiry.
Tom Storey is keen to provide resources and advice on the market to help customers and establish Horton & Storey as knowledgeable and transparent. We designed the website with this in mind, using page content components. This allows Horton & Storey to build pages to fit around the content and present it in the most accessible manner.
The results
The new brand identity has been well received. Sales boards, along with office signage, have given Horton & Storey a noticeable presence – both on the high street and across Shirley.
Carousel continues to provide marketing support both online and offline. We work with Horton & Storey to analyse website traffic, developing SEO and content accordingly. Direct mail and canvassing are important elements of their marketing strategy, generating awareness as well as quality leads.
